• Where do you hail from? Buffalo Grove, IL
• Any family? Kristin (wife), and three boys, Caleb, Maxwell, and Jackson
• Degree? B.S. Chemical Engineering (UIUC), M.A. Counseling
• Years on staff? Literally nine but feels like a lifetime
• Why did you come on staff with I-Life? I experienced first hand the power of God building redemptive communities where people encountered Christ and discovered his love for them expressed through His church. I wanted to be a part of building, shaping, and living in these communities.
• Major staff roles? Make lots of mistakes, look foolish, and try to walk through it all under God's grace. The areas they let me make the most mistakes is in teaching, counseling, and coaching leaders.
• Are you available to hang out with students who wanna grab time with you? Yes!
• Favorite spots on campus? Starbucks
• Ideal activity or event on campus? Coffee house
• A few hobbies/pastimes? Reading manuals on wilderness survival, cooking, poetry, weight lifting, camping
• One experience that you wish every student would graduate with? Being a part of a community of strangers who over time become as intimate and connected as a "healthy" family.
• What inspires you? Movies with swords, blood, and battle scenes, certain romantic comedies, the apostle Paul, people suffering with dignity
• Current favorite movies, TV, music, books, etc? Steinbeck
• Cubs or Cards? Grizzly or brown cubs? I don't understand how they could relate to cards? Do you mean playing cards? I'm confused.
