One of the biggest highlights of the year for us at Illini Life is our Fall Retreat. This 2 night, 3 day time away is a chance to grow closer to community and to grow deeper with God. The time spent at the Fall Retreat is an opportunity to take a break from the semester, to grow with God, and to be knit into community
And this year, it's happening on October 4-6th.
We will have food, fun & friends! And, we will dive into God's Word through teachings, personal time with Jesus, and conversations. This is a great time to get off campus and retreat with one another at a local camp. Fall Retreat is where deep relational roots are made that flow back onto campus. It helps create deeper community that lasts all school year and beyond!
This year we will be joining together with Cornerstone Church from Illinois State University for our retreat. Both Illini Life & Cornerstone are part of the Collegiate Church Network, which has about 20 churches around the country on college campuses.
Our speakers this year are Brandon & Jenna Clemens, who are passionate about college students and reside in Muncie, IN. Brandon works for Ball State University and Jenna works for Reliant Mission (who all of our staff are employed with)!
Retreat Topic is "The People of God: Our collective history, identity, and mission as followers of Jesus."
What God is doing with us individually cannot be separated from how we fit into what God is doing in and through the Church. We'll look at how, throughout scripture, God has delivered, preserved, and sanctified his people to be a part of his mission to restore all of creation to himself. We'll also explore what it looks like for each of us to be a part of what God is doing through his people as a whole.
